About taiko.guide

taiko.guide is an English-language documentation project for the Taiko no Tatsujin community.

Its goal is to provide clear, comprehensive, and accessible documentation covering all aspects of playing Taiko no Tatsujin, from gameplay fundamentals and arcade features to home controllers, DIY projects, advanced techniques, and technical information.

Much of the knowledge surrounding Taiko no Tatsujin is spread across forum posts, Discord servers, social media, YouTube videos, Japanese blogs, and community documents. taiko.guide aims to bring that information together into a single, easy-to-navigate resource while building upon and linking to the excellent resources already created by the wider community.

Why taiko.guide?

Most English Taiko resources focus on news, events, song lists, or community discussion.

taiko.guide instead focuses on documentation. Rather than covering news, events, song lists, or community discussion, it explains how the game works by bringing together gameplay mechanics, controller information, arcade knowledge, technical explanations, and improvement guides in one place.

Whether you’re playing your first song, buying your first controller, or working towards higher Dan ranks, the aim is to provide reliable information that can be easily searched, shared, and referenced.

Project Status

🚧 This project is currently under active development.

The overall site structure has been established, with documentation gradually being added and refined across all sections.

Content is continuously expanded as new information is researched, verified, and written.
