Bachi

Maibachi (マイバチ, literally “my sticks”), also known simply as bachi, are personal drumsticks designed for playing Taiko no Tatsujin. Unlike the bachi provided at most arcades, called “house bachi,” maibachi are lighter, more consistent, and come in a wide range of woods, sizes, and designs.

Using your own bachi isn’t required to enjoy the game, and many players spend hundreds of hours using house bachi before buying their own. As your skills improve, however, a well-made pair can offer greater comfort, consistency, and control.

There is no single “best” pair of bachi. Different players prefer different woods, lengths, weights, and grip styles depending on their technique and the types of charts they enjoy playing.
